Save The Trades event to showcase renovation plans
MILFORD – Students, parents and residents are invited to attend the Save the Trades event on Feb. 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Milford High School, 100 West St.
This free event will spotlight the future of skilled trades education and workforce development.
The evening will include a presentation of the Career and Technical Education renovation plan, highlighting upcoming improvements aimed at expanding training opportunities and strengthening connections between students and industry. Guest speaker and founder of Bring Back the Trades, Stephen Turner, will speak about the importance of revitalizing the trades.
Industry partners will also provide insight into current and future workforce needs as well as the vital role skilled trades play in the local economy.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in guided CTE tours, which will offer an inside look at existing programs, facilities and hands-on learning environments.
