BEDFORD – A state trooper assigned to Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s security team pulled 51-year-old Massachusetts resident Yevgeny Mirman from a burning vehicle at the Bedford Toll Plaza on March 31.
According to State Police, Mirman, who was driving a 2026 Lucid Gravity, struck the toll structure just before noon and became trapped as the sports utility vehicle burst into flames.

“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” said State Police Col. Mark Hall. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need.”
Troopers were also assisted by members of the state Department of Transportation, Merrimack Fire Rescue, the Bedford Fire Department and Litchfield Fire Rescue.
