Nashua Regional Planning Commission announces two household hazardous waste collection events

NASHUA — If you have old household products that you shouldn’t put in the trash, and your transfer station or recycling center can’t take, bring them to a Household Hazardous Waste collection event.

The first collection event will be held on April 18 from 8 a.m. to noon at 25 Crown St. in Nashua. The second event will be held on May 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at 289 South St. in Milford. Residents of Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, Pelham and Windham are welcome.

The minimum fee is now $20 per vehicle, which pays for up to 10 gallons (liquids) or 20 pounds (solids) of waste. Fees may be paid by cash or check. Carpooling with neighbors is encouraged.

Common household products that are corrosive, flammable or toxic are accepted, including oil-based paints, lead paint, solvents, oven cleaners, pool chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, drain openers and auto chemicals. Please, no containers larger than five gallons.

Latex/acrylic paint, electronics and medication are not accepted. For a complete list of accepted items and all 2026 collection event dates, visit www.nashuarpc.org/hhw or call 603-417-6570.

Keeping household hazardous waste out of the trash, off the ground, and out of our water supply protects fish, wildlife and humans. Removing old chemicals from your home can also prevent injuries to children and pets.
