PSU to host State History Contest on April 10

PLYMOUTH – Plymouth State University will be hosting the 23rd annual State History Contest on April 10.

The contest will be held in the Silver Center for the Arts at Plymouth State, 17 High St. in Plymouth.

This year, the contest boasts its largest competition in more than a decade with more than 200 competitors bringing a year’s worth of research to present in front of a panel of historian judges for evaluation on the annual theme: Revolution, Reaction, and Reform.

The contest, known as National History Day in New Hampshire, is an affiliate of the national contest, National History Day. Students from across the Granite State, in grades 5-12, representing dozens of schools, private and public, are competing.

Winners will advance to the week-long national contest, which will be held from June 14-18, at the University of Maryland.
