Amherst man charged with public disturbance

NASHUA – Alejandro Delatorre Cabral, 26, of Amherst, was taken into custody on June 21 after allegedly causing a public disturbance.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to Kinsley Street where witnesses said Delatorre Cabral was “acting oddly and approaching people for no reason.”
Delatorre Cabral was reportedly walking in the road when police arrived at the scene.
While placing Delatorre Cabral under arrest, officers allegedly discovered that he had a gun, which was reported stolen in May 2023.
He has been charged with receiving stolen property, disorderly conduct and having an open container.
Delatorre Cabral was released on a $500 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 21.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 16 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
