Goodlander and Left Leaning Chorus expected at No Kings rally
NASHUA — Gate City Voices recently announced that Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander (D-NH) and the Left Leaning Chorus will be at the No Kings rally on Oct. 17
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.
Gate City Voices believes that meaningful change begins when people come together, build connections and create opportunities for conversation and action. This gathering is an opportunity for residents to connect, enjoy an inspiring performance and take part in a collective expression of civic involvement.
“We are excited to bring people together for an event that celebrates community, encourages participation and reminds us that every voice matters,” said Michele Roussel-Buckley, founder of Gate City Voices. “With the Left Leaning Chorus performing and Maggie Goodlander joining us, we look forward to a memorable gathering filled with energy, connection and purpose.”
Previous No Kings protests have addressed opposition to the policies and expansion of executive power under President Donald Trump’s second term, particularly democratic backsliding, political corruption and the rule of law. However, with the midterms fast approaching, organizers are shifting their focus to a less partisan stance and focusing on the importance of getting everyone out to vote.
Organizers emphasize that voting gives citizens the power to make their voices heard on the national stage. Because making a voting plan requires more than just intention, it requires accurate information and resources, the rally will serve as an educational hub for the community.
