H/B FIRST team seeks donations

Hollis/Brookline High School’s FIRST Robotics Team 1073, The Force Team, won the Granite State Regional, held at Verizon Wireless Arena on March 4-6.

The team won with an alliance with Team 1058, the PVC Pirates from Londonderry High School, and Team 1519, Mechanical Mayhem, a home-school team based in Milford. The three teams will attend Nationals in Atlanta in mid-April.

Besides winning the competition, the Force Team’s mentor, Jeff Reuter, won the Woodie Flowers Award. The team was awarded the Cooperation Award for exceptional sportsmanship, helpfulness and behavior, as well as the Motorola Quality Award.

Team 1073 extends its thanks to its mentors, an extensive familial fan base and sponsors, including BAE Systems.

The team is accepting monetary donations to help defray the costs incurred by attending nationals. Checks made out to HBHS can be sent to Sue Hay, FIRST Robotics Team, Hollis/Brookline High School, 24 Cavalier Court, Hollis, NH 03049.
