Friends of the Hollis Social Library hold annual book sale

HOLLIS – On Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the Friends of the Hollis Social Library will hold its annual Used Book Sale in the Town Hall Community Room. The Friends of the Hollis Social Library raised over $2,200 last year with the 2016 book sale, its major fundraiser. The funds raised from the sale are used for many library programs including the summer reading program, special library projects and museum passes.

Donations of used books are being accepted the day before the book sale at the Town Hall Community Room from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. during set up, or by contacting the library. The library is hosting a child care drop-in event from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12 so that parents can help bring books from the library shed to the town hall to set up the event. All volunteers are welcome. The Friends of the Hollis Social Library have also created an Amazon Smile account, so a .5 percent portion of Amazon sales will be donated to the Friends of the Hollis Social Library. Choose them at www.smile.amazon.com. To find out more about the events and programs of the Hollis Social Library, and the book sale, go to www.HollisLibrary.org.
