Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School recently hosted their year-end sports award ceremony where top athletes were recognized for their accomplishments throughout the year. Each year, Nashua Catholic chooses to recognize athletes for their outstanding work ethic, performances and commitment to their teams and teammates. Awards include the Male and Female Athlete of the Year Award, as well as the All Nashua Catholic Award.

Recipients of the Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards must show excellent athletic ability, as well as strong leadership and sportsmanship in competition. The Male Athlete of the Year Award was awarded to Ryan Stack. Ryan, the son of Tim and Stephanie was a three-sport athlete, who excelled in cross-country, basketball, and track and field at Nashua Catholic. During the fall season Ryan was a key contributor to the cross country team, and helped the team win first place at the Catholic School’s Invitational Meet. In the winter months Ryan was named captain of the basketball team, and helped lead the Wildcats to the NH Catholic Schools CYO Basketball Championship. On the track in the spring, Ryan consistently ran well in the 100-meter hurdles.

Stack will look to improve on his skills in each of his sports over the summer through his own workouts and AAU basketball, before entering Bishop Guertin High School in the fall.
