Album in works for local singers

After singing together for almost four years and winning the Harmony Inc. International Quartet Championship in 2016, Taken 4 Granite is excited to announce the production of their first album, “Rock Solid.” On it will be their best-known and loved original arrangements, from “Taylor the Latte Boy” to “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” some classics like “Some Enchanted Evening,” and new favorites like their “Sutton Foster Montage” and “Titanium.”

“With the rush of energy and support since winning this past international contest, we could not help but capture some of our favorite music in the form of an album. Everyone has been so excited and supportive of our recording project,” said Katrine Dickau, tenor of Taken 4 Granite.

Formed in 2013, the quartet consists of all local singers: Renee Tramack and her daughters Christina and Samantha of Nashua, and Katrine Dickau of Hollis. Taken 4 Granite is a registered quartet with Harmony Inc. They are known for their original arrangements, creative and fun material stretching across decades and genres.

On Friday, Oct. 6, Showcase invites everyone to come sample “Rock Solid” at Foodee’s on the Milford Oval to promote their upcoming CD. There will be no cover charge, lots of music, opportunities for pre-ordering their CD and good food for purchase. Come anytime between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. This is also the weekend of the Pumpkin Festival, so there is even more to see and do around town that evening.
