Police bust 37 at local party

MERRIMACK – Police corralled 37 people Saturday night in what they deemed to be an underage drinking party in Merrimack.

In all, 31 people were placed under protective custody due to being underage, police said. Six others were arrested, all charged with resisting arrest and two with facilitating an underage alcohol party.

Around midnight, police responded to a complaint about a loud party being held at a residence at 52 Daniel Webster Highway. When officers arrived, they found a large gathering of people, some of who moved quickly toward the back of the property and out of officers’ sight, police said.

During an investigation, police found “numerous people under the age of 21 with large amounts of alcoholic beverages.”

Police began arranging for transportation of 31 underage people to the police station on Baboosic Lake Road. The Nashua Police Department assisted in transporting all of the partygoers.

One man, Andres Ochoa, 18, of 35 Russell St., Nashua, was charged with resisting arrest because he was “vocal and disruptive” to the group of teens waiting to be taken to the department, and later struggled with officers who tried to restrain him, police said.

Five other people were also charged with resisting arrest because they were hiding inside two houses on the property, police said.

Those arrested included:

Michael Letourneau, 48, of 52 Daniel Webster Highway; Tyler Letourneau, 18, of 52 Daniel Webster Highway; Mandy Doward, 20, of 120 Coliseum Ave., Apt. 212, Nashua; Stephanie Quandt, 19, of 89 Village Circle Way, Apt. 5, Manchester; and Mary Tissot, 23, of 52 Daniel Webster Highway.

The Letourneaus were also charged with facilitating an underage drinking party. Both men’s bail amounts were set at $1,500 personal recognizance.

Bail for Ochoa, Doward, Quandt and Tissot was set at $750 personal recognizance each.

All are scheduled to appear in Merrimack Court on Aug. 3.

Facilitating an underage alcohol party is a Class B misdemeanor. If convicted, a person can be fined up to $1,200. Over the last 12 months, Merrimack Police have arrested and charged 16 people with the offense.
