MERRIMACK – Steve Friedman was recently honored as a recipient of the Bellwether Community Champion award, presented to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their community. On July 30, Friedman threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a New Hampshire Fisher Cats game and was celebrated during an on field pregame presentation.

Friedman serves on nine event committees for Boys & Girls Club, Families in Transition, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Friend’s of Boston’s Homeless Beyond Shelter and Breathe NH. In addition, Steve financially supports many organizations individually or through his family’s foundation, The Leopold & Ruth Friedman Foundation. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Club of Manchester for eight years and was recognized as Director of the Year twice.

Friedman is a resident of Merrimack.
