Champagne Luncheon set

MERRIMACK – Home Health & Hospice Care will host Dr. Gina Barreca as the featured speaker at this year’s annual Champagne Luncheon

The event will take place Sunday, Nov. 6, at 11:30 a.m., at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.

“You are smart enough to conquer the world, so please stop weeping when you try on bathing suits at TJ Maxx,” Barreca wrote.

The best-selling author, humorist, professor and speaker, has appeared on the Today Show, 20/20, Oprah, 48 Hours, and the Dr. Phil Show. She is the author of eight books, including “They Used to Call Me Snow White – But I Drifted” and “Babes in Boyland.” Excerpts from Gina’s newest book, “It’s Not that I’m Bitter …” include Bathing Suit Season at TJ Maxx, Yes, It’s My Real Color, Since I Paid For It, and What I wish I’d Known Sooner. Barreca has been deemed a “brilliant and witty writer” by Psychology Today, and Ms. Magazine said “expect poignant insights tucked between laugh lines.”

The luncheon will also include informal modeling, a 50/50 raffle with a chance to win $5,000, a champagne toast, a sit-down meal as well as silent and live auctions, featuring distinctive artwork, jewelry, lunch with the mayor and much more.

All proceeds of the luncheon benefit HHHC’s Community Hospice House in Merrimack, and other hospice programs.

Home Health & Hospice Care is a not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association and hospice with offices in Manchester and Merrimack. The organization provides home health services to the elderly, the acute and chronically ill, children, newborns, and the dying in the comfort and security of the individual’s home.
