Take in color at Flower and Garden Show

Leave the gray days of winter behind as you gather ideas on how to add the wow factor to your garden.

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a day trip to the Boston Flower and Garden Show on Thursday, March 15. The motor coach will depart from Merrimack Town Hall, 6 Baboosic Lake Road, at 9 a.m., and arrive at Seaport World Trade Center in Boston at 10 a.m.

This year’s Boston Flower and Garden Show’s theme is “First Impressions,” and will offer tips for new and avid gardeners. Learn how to express your personality and style as you enhance your garden and value of your property. There will also be a marketplace, hands-on displays, music, judged competitions, horticultural and gardening products, garden furnishings, ornaments, art and handcrafted gifts at the show. Get fresh ideas on how to spruce up your garden and get a head start on spring. Enjoy lunch at your leisure at the many restaurants located within walking distance of the Seaport World Trade Center. For more information on your lunch options, call Kelly at the Parks and Recreation Department.

The bus will depart from the Seaport World Trade Center at 4 p.m., and return to Town Hall at approximately 5 p.m. The cost of $39.95 per person includes round-trip motor coach transportation, ticket to Boston Garden and Flower Show and driver gratuity.
