To the Editor:

Kelly Ayotte has the right idea about how to tackle the issue of preventing terrorists from getting guns.

In light of the fact that all four gun bills failed in the Senate, Kelly Ayotte is co-sponsoring a bill that has brought Republicans and Democrats together. She understands that not only is it important to work to keep guns out of the hands of terrorists and make sure background checks are strengthened, but it is also important to make sure we are doing more than just talking about these issues. Action is required, but that requires both parties working together.

Kelly Ayotte’s compromise bill is bringing people together, and this is the best way for anything to pass. I hope more of her colleagues sign on so we can get results and keep our communities safe.
