Merrimack youths star in classic holiday show ‘The Nutcracker’

MERRIMACK – Teresina O’Hare and Sophia Hancock, both of Merrimack, will perform in the Palace Theatre’s upcoming annual production of the timeless classic, "The Nutcracker," in six magical performances Nov. 25-27.

Teresina O’Hare is a sixteen-year old from Merrimack who attends the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School. Teresina is dancing the coveted lead role of the Sugar Plum Fairy again this year. With over twelve years of dance training she has performed many other leading roles including the role of Clara, Columbine Doll, and Mirliton Soloist in "The Nutcracker,’ and Snow White in ‘Snow White the Ballet.’ When asked why she enjoys dance, Teresina said, "I do it for the little beginner who watches the big girls dance in their sparkly dresses and aspire to dance like that one day."

Teresina will be joined on stage by twelve-year old Sophia Hancock who attends The Founder’s Academy. Sophia has been dancing since she was two years old. She will be performing the roles of Party Girl and as a Candy Cane Dancer this year. Sophia and Teresina will be joined on stage by Saoria Gunther who will perform as an angel.
