Haywards Ice Cream Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on March 16th.

Haywards Ice Cream held their official ribbon cutting ceremony along with the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce earlier this month on Saturday, March 16. Many Chamber and community members were there along with owner, Chris Ordway and his team.

Before owner, Chris Ordway, cut the ribbon, he spoke “Haywards Ice Cream has been in business for over 70 years. Our store front in Nashua is very well know, and I’m very excited for our new expansion into Merrimack. My team and I look forward to being a part of this community for generations to come.”

Haywards Ice Cream opened in Nashua in June 1940 and has been a family owned business for all of these years. In 1996 Chris Ordway purchased the business from his parents and is a third generation family owner. He has grown this business and their reputation by leaps and bounds! Under his leadership, Hayward’s has been voted “Best Ice Cream” more than any other ice cream in New England. This is their first location with indoors service and seating and will be open all year long. They’re currently open daily from 11am to 9pm.

Haywards recently joined the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to partner with them to help grow their exposure and business here, said Laurie Dufault, a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “We are thrilled to welcome them to our vibrant community here in Merrimack and wish them an incredibly success tenure in our town.”
