Gardening in a Changing Climate: Sponsored by the Nashua Garden Club

The Nashua Garden Club invites gardeners and environmentalists to its March 4th program, Gardening in a Changing Climate, presented by Sherry Godlewski, Resilience and Adaptation Manager for the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and member of several regional and statewide commissions and working groups including the Governor’s Climate Change Policy Task Force. Gardeners are on the front line as witnesses to the changes in climate. We’ve experienced later frosts, earlier planting times, heavier rain events and longer stretches of drought. Get a brief look at the causes and impact of climate change and how we can adapt our growing strategies and habits to both minimize our own impact on climate change and keep growing the plants we enjoy.

Join Garden Club members at 7 PM on Wednesday, March 4th at the First Baptist Church, 121 Manchester Street Nashua NH. Light refreshment will be served. Members: Free Nonmembers: $5.00 This event will be held rain or shine unless an Emergency Weather Watch is posted on WMUR TV. For more information: www.nashuanhgardenclub.org
