State representative Maureen Mooney on June 23 at a Homestead Restaurant banquet marking the “Changing of the Gavel” for the Merrimack Rotary Club was named recipient of the President’s Award for 2020-2021 for “service beyond self,” an honor extended by outgoing President Brian Snow. Incoming President Steve Sher will lead the club for the new Rotary Year, its 50th. Mooney’s award was accepted by State Rep Bob L’Heureux, as Mooney was engaged elsewhere on banquet day. L’Heureux and his wife, Fran, presented it to her on June 24 when she and other state reps and friends attended “Hot Dogz for ALZ,” a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s in Merrimack.
