30th Annual Winter Carnival

The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department has begun planning for the 30th Annual Winter Carnival; which will take place on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 from 12 – 3 p.m. at Wasserman Park.

The purpose of this Annual Event is to bring families outdoors during the winter and get them participating in a variety of fun and free activities.  Our community partners will provide a variety of games, crafts and other activities for families to participate in.

What this year’s event will look like?

Due to the current COVID-19 surge, this year’s event will be held entirely outdoors at Wasserman Park with activities spread out around the Park. We will not be limiting the capacity this year, but we will be spreading out all of the activities to avoid congestion.  Registration is not required to participate in the event.

Two special editions to this year’s festival include:

Ice Carving Demonstration from Ice Breakers LLC

Free Caricature Photos from Have a Cartoon You

Both of these activities are made possible by a generous donation from the Monahan Companies.

In addition to free games and activities during the event, we will have food available for purchase. All food will be sold by Merrimack Based Non-Profit Organizations and so we hope you will support them.

Merrimack Friends & Families – Selling water, hot cocoa, chips and chili and baked goods

Girl Scout Troop 62222 – Selling Girl Scout Cookies

At  this time we are seeking Community Partner Businesses &  Organizations to provide games, crafts and other free activities during  the event.

The deadline to register as a community partner is February 11th.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 603-882-1046
