Merrimack man charged in car thefts

MERRIMACK – John Parrinello, 58, of Merrimack, was taken into custody on Jan. 23 in connection with two stolen vehicles.

According to the Merrimack Police Department, at 6:29 p.m., officers responded to the report of a vehicle that was allegedly stolen from a convenience store parking lot. Using the car’s tracking device, police later found the vehicle at 41 Turkey Hill Rd.

After further investigation, officers discovered that Parrinello was also in possession of another vehicle which was reportedly stolen out of Manchester on Jan. 17.

He has been charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, theft by unauthorized taking and criminal mischief.

He was held on a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Jan. 26.

Under state law, if convicted, Parrinello could face up to 46 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $14,000 in fines.
