Cindy Lynn (Teschner) Loefstedt

Cindy Lynn (Teschner) Loefstedt, 55, of Bedford, died July 31, 2017, at her residence, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, surrounded by her loving family. All who saw her were inspired and humbled by the strength and the abiding sense of peace she demonstrated throughout her suffering.

Born in Framingham, MA on January 9, 1962, she was the youngest daughter of Leslie (Clarke) Hamilton and her adoptive father, Stuart Hamilton. Cindy was a graduate of Framingham South High School in 1980, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from New Hampshire College in 1984. She worked for many years as a developer, database programmer and in other capacities in software and information technology. After a nine year break to focus on her daughter’s upbringing, she worked most recently as a Business Analyst in the IT Dept. of the City of Nashua, where she was a beloved and respected colleague.

Cindy was a deeply caring, empathetic person whose first passion was her children and family. She was a devoted, loving mother to son Matthew and daughter Jennifer, and was loved and admired by her spouse of 17 years, Paul. She cherished time with her parents and sisters, and was a doting, fun-loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was adored by her in-laws and their families. She treasured old friendships and nurtured new ones. During her long illness, the generosity of spirit she showed throughout her life was repaid with a torrent of loving outreach by so many whose lives she had touched.

Many of her happiest memories involved time spent on the water, where she enjoyed sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing with her husband Paul, crabbing, clamming and generally just reveling in the sights, sounds and smells of the sea. She was also an avid skier, and instilled in both of her children a love of the slopes. She, Paul and the children were privileged to take many trips together, to such diverse places as Hawaii, Bermuda, France, Germany and Norway.

She leaves behind her husband, Paul C. Loefstedt of Bedford; her parents Stuart and Leslie Hamilton of Hubbardstown, MA; a son, Matthew Coryea of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Jennifer Loefstedt of Bedford; and two sisters, Deborah O’Rourke and husband Brian of Shrewsbury, MA, and Wendy Pugliese of Marshfield, MA, along with numerous nieces and nephews to whom she meant the world.
