Faith Adene (Hamilton) Symes

Faith Adene (Hamilton) Symes, 78, of Merrimack, died Oct. 5, 2010, at her home.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Lorne and Jesse (Lush) Hamilton.

She worked at Ford Motor Company and Kolene Company. Faith was a skilled potter, enjoyed sewing, quilting and was a talented seamstress.

Survivor include her husband of 58 years, Chester A. Symes; sister, Caroline Liebau and Donald of Canton, MI, and a brother, Thurston Hamilton and Martha of Farmington, MI; three children, Brian Symes of Portland, OR, Steven Symes and Jane of Marlborough, MA, and Carol Giede and Dr. Christopher Giede of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; nine grandchildren, Lorne Symes of Portland, OR, Isabel Torres of Portland, OR and Jorge, and Amelia Symes of Portland, OR, Charlina Giede of Saskatoon, Christina Enns and Colin of Saskatoon, and Charles Giede of Saskatoon, Thomas Symes of Marlborough, MA, James Symes of Marlborough, MA, and Sarah Symes of Marlborough, MA; one great-grandchild, Ryleigh Giede of Saskatoon and another soon to follow with Christina expecting; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday October 11, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Souhegan Christian Church, Route 101A, Amherst, NH , www.sccofnh.org. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent for Mission Outreach to Souhegan Christian Church, 5 Route 101A, Unit 2, Amherst, NH 03031, Missions Fund.
