Lillian M. Bianchi

Lillian M. (Boly) Bianchi passed away on November 3, 2010 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare facility in Brewster, Massachusetts following several years of declining health. She was born on September 8, 1926 in Florenville, Belgium to Lizzie (Noel) Boly and Jules Boly. Following the complete devastation of her home and small village during World War II, she was forced to evacuate to Switzerland on foot with her family until it was safe to return. It was there during the Liberation that she met the love of her life, Richard J Bianchi. Following a year-long separation kept alive by their overseas mail correspondence, they finally married in 1945 upon Richard’s return to Belgium. On November 10, 2010, they would have been married for 65 years. After arriving in the United States, they made their home in Milford, New Hampshire.

Mrs. Bianchi was a communicant of St Patrick’s Church in Milford, NH. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, on October 25, 2010. She was also predeceased by four sisters and one brother. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian M. (Bianchi) Perry and Laurence E. Perry of Eastham, MA; a granddaughter, Jill M. (Perry) Hannon of Manchester, NH; a grandson, John L. Perry of Woburn, MA; a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, November 6th from 9:00-10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
