Karl F. Peicker

Karl Frederick Peicker, 74, peacefully passed away, June 5, 2011, in the presence of his loving family, at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.

Mr. Peicker was born July 8, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, to Karl E. and Ruth M. (Avery) Peicker.

Mr. Peicker graduated from Roxborough High School in Philadelphia and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Rivier College, Nashua, NH.

Mr. Peicker served as an air traffic controller in the United States Navy between 1954 and 1957. Following his discharge, he was employed by the FAA. He was transferred to New Hampshire and has resided in southern NH since that time. Following his FAA employment, he worked for the Department of Defense.

Mr. Peicker’s first wife was Mildred E. Bauer of Philadelphia, PA, currently residing in Nashua, NH, with whom he has two sons. Following their divorce, he married and later divorced Donna Cook.

Mr. Peicker was an avid fan of the Red Sox and the Phillies. He enjoyed socializing with friends, cartooning and telling stories. He was passionate about sports and in his later years, enjoyed long summer days fishing and swimming. He was active in the American Legion in Hudson, NH.

He is predeceased by his brother John J. Peicker of Philadelphia, PA. He is survived by his brother Martin J. Peicker of Reading, PA; son Karl V. Peicker of New Boston, NH; and son Mark T. Peicker, daughter-in-law Kimberly and grandsons Mark, Matthew and Andrew of Bedford, NH.

At his request, there will be no funeral service.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
