Winifred Blanchard

Winifred Blanchard, 85, of Wilton, NH, died August 10, 2011 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH. Winnie was born on February 4, 1926 in Reeds Ferry, NH, the daughter of Joseph A. Dupell and Anna (Manning). Winnie married her husband Isaac Kenton in 1946 and moved to Wilton, NH, where they spent 63 years together surrounded by their loving family until his passing in 2010.

Winnie loved homemaking of which she was an incredible cook. She was a passionate gardener and her flower gardens were loved and admired by many. She got great satisfaction canning the food she grew in her vegetable garden and was very famous for her bread & butter pickles. She was an avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed many musical evenings with her family and friends, who were the most important thing in her life, all the while taking care of her special needs son. Winnie loved life, and lived it to the fullest.

Winifred is survived by 2 sons, Stephen and his wife Peggy Blanchard of Wilton, and Scott Blanchard of Wilton; 3 daughters, Carolyn and her husband Jim Quinn of Temple, Wendy Blanchard of Wilton, and Heidi and her husband Clint Wilder of Wilton; 1 brother, Jim Dupell and his wife Joyce of Amherst, NH; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Blanchard, Chip Johnson, Coby Johnson, Amanda Blanchard, Cortney Johnson; and 9 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Maggie, Issac, Morgan, Paige, Lily, Ashlynn, and Alexis.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 16 at the South Yard Cemetery in Wilton, NH at 2PM.
