Jeantje (Shawn) Kurlander

Jeantje (Shawn) Kurlander, 64, of Milford, NH, passed away December 26th, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 14th, 1947 in Batavia, Java. Jeantje grew up in the Midwest and later met her husband David in Dallas Texas. Shortly after, they moved to Long Island, NY where they started their family. In 1980, they moved to Milford, NH, where she fell in love with the community. Of the many things she was proud of, she was the owner and operator of the Bump ‘N’ Grinder restaurant, where she was famously known for her chocolate chip cookies. Jeantje was a bundle of energy, she was always there for her children as “class mom”, Scout Den mother and dedicated enthusiast to anything her children did. In her free time, Jeantje could be found reading, baking and gardening.

She always had a warm smile and a kind word.

Jeantje leaves behind loving husband David, son Aron of Wilton, NH, son Joshua his wife Laura and their adoring children Kaylee and David of Largo, FL; as well as her sister Julie Zgoda and brother Nick Van der Ent.

Friends and Family are warmly invited to a grave side service on Thursday, December 29th, 2011 at 2:30 pm in the Vale End Cemetery in Wilton, NH. All are invited to a reception immediately following.
