Cynthia J. Salisbury

Cynthia J. “Cindy” Salisbury, 62, longtime resident of Milford and Wilton, NH died on May 27, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH.

She was born in Nashua, NH on July 7, 1950, a daughter of George H. & Phyllis E. (Abbott) Salisbury.

Cindy graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1968 and later graduated from Concord School of Nursing, Concord, NH. She was a registered nurse and had been employed by St. Joseph Hospital for more than 10 years.

She was a member of the Puritan Charity Themis Atlantic Chapter #29, Order of Eastern Star and had served as Past Worthy Matron and was a Past Grand Worthy Matron of the New Hampshire Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Cindy volunteered as an EMT for the Milford Ambulance Service for many years. She loved to bake and always enjoyed sharing what she made with others including the local fire, police and ambulance departments.

Family members include two brothers, Michael T. Salisbury of Milton, NH, Carl A. Salisbury of Westfield, NJ; a sister, Evelyn P. Sullivan of Manchester; nine nieces and nephews; six grandnieces and grandnephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 31, from 5-7 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, One Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110.
