Jean N. Smith

Jean N. Smith, 92, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on June 21, 2017 in Chester, NH.

She was born in Portsmouth, NH on March 4, 1925, a daughter of Wendell and Delia J. (Stuart) Collins. She had made her home in Milford, NH for many years and had also lived in Auburndale, FL for several years and Chester, NH for the past eight years.

Mrs. Smith had worked for the Head Start Program in Wilton, NH for 10 years.

She was an active member of the former First Baptist Church of Milford where she had taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a member of the Deaconess Board.

She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Smith.

Family members include two sons, Timothy R. Smith of Myakka, FL and Peter D. Smith of Milford, NH; four daughters, Cathy Smith of Lisbon, NH, Kristen Venner of Chester, NH with whom she made her home, Patricia E. Sangillo of Windham, NH and Grace J. Smith of Milford, NH; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
