Rena K. Vanni, 96, of Wilton, NH, passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, on Thursday, October 5, 2017. She was born November 25, 1920, in Wilton, NH, the daughter of Italo Vanni and Malvina (Paulini) Vanni.

Rena was a graduate of Wilton High School. She spent her entire working career in the family store started by her parents on Main Street, in Wilton, NH, along with her parents and her sister, Alice. One of her pleasures in life was going to the theatre in Wilton, NH. She and her sister Alice did not miss any feature films of the day. She also enjoyed trips to the town library. Lastly, but most importantly, she treasured being a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She held her faith dearly all of her life, up to and including her final days. In her last years she would read her favorite novels, especially westerns, along with watching the reruns of westerns on television. Rena resided in the last few years at the Pillsbury Home in Milford, NH, and enjoyed playing Bingo as well as many other activities provided at the home.

Rena is survived by her cousins, Judy Black and Carolyn DeBell. Rena is predeceased by her parents, Italo and Malvina Vanni, and her sisters; Annie Vanni and Alice Vanni.

In lieu of flowers, Rena has asked for memorial donations to be made to the Wilton Town Library, 7 Forest Road, Wilton, NH, 03086.

Calling hours will be held at the Michaud Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 11am-12pm followed by a service. Then following, there will be a graveside service, Tuesday, at 12pm, October 10, 2017, at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 101 Abbot Hill Rd. Wilton, NH 03086
