Ian E. Sandford

Ian Earl Sandford of Bedford went to be with Christ on July 9, 2018 after a brief illness. His life was happy but not easy. His brain was injured at birth, and for twenty-seven years, he lived without many privileges that most take for granted–things like speech, privacy, and fine motor skills. He tackled his difficult vocation with humor and courage. Simple things brought him joy: marching on the treadmill, watching a favorite movie, being with loved ones. He touched the hearts of many family, friends, and faithful caregivers with his patience, endurance, contentment, and gratitude.

He is survived by his parents, Earl and Alison (Bedford), his older sister Bria (New York, NY), his older brother Aaron (Bedford), his twin sister Cara Dukelow and her husband Craig (New Boston), his younger brothers Ryan (Rwanda) and Duncan (Bedford), his grandmother Lully Dunbar (Old Lyme, CT), and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved innocently and unconditionally, and he will be dearly missed.
