Jeanette LoVerme

This is the story of Jeanette Frances (DiLorenzo) LoVerme. Jeanette was a wonderful woman who was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Of Wilton, Jeanette Frances, age 82, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2018. She was born on August 26, 1936, the daughter of the late Grover DiLorenzo and the late Michelena (Fontana) DiLorenzo DeVito.

Jeanette was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and married Alexander LoVerme on December 10, 1955. After living in Philadelphia, Texas, Oklahoma, and California, they moved to and settled in Wilton, New Hampshire in 1960.

Jeanette is survived by Alexander, her spouse of 63 years, and her children, Charles and his wife, Melania, of Florence, Italy, Jean LoVerme of Cut-Off, Louisiana, Maria Lagasse and her husband, Michael, of Weare, New Hampshire, Michelle Tice and her husband, Harry, of San Diego, California, Alexander LoVerme, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Wilton, New Hampshire, and Paul LoVerme of Wilton, New Hampshire. Jeanette had nine grandchildren: Rufus Faggons, Jr., Nick Lagasse, John-Paul Faggons, Mollie LoVerme, Joe Lagasse, Jack Tice, Kaitlin LoVerme, Vincent LoVerme and Trevor LoVerme. She also had two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Salvatore Faggons. She is also survived by her sister Louise DiLorenzo of Lynn, Massachusetts, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie DiLorenzo and Edith Mendes. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Jeanette and Alexander traveled when they were young, from coast-to-coast and border to border. With very few of the finer things in her early life, Jeanette worked tirelessly to support her children and was renowned for her cooking and baking skills. She helped and touched many people her entire life, working in hospice care, nursing homes, and the hospitality field. She loved crafts and reading and enjoyed shopping and card games. Her life was a living example of one of her favorite sayings: “Life Goes On.”
