Matthew Schwab

Matthew Lewis Schwab, 51, a longtime resident of Milford, NH, passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2018. He is dearly missed by all who knew him.

Born November 11, 1966, Matt grew up in Wilton, NH and was a 1986 graduate of Wilton-Lyndeborough High School. He lived a full life along-side his family and friends. He was passionate about his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as his creative woodworking and his carpentry business. He was proud to build others an authentic space that made their house feel like a home. He gave back to our community by hosting an annual horseshoe tournament, restoring the iconic bandstand on the Milford oval, and was involved in the initial building and care of the ice skating rink at Shepard Park. Matt loved his family; his four daughters and his wife were the center of his world and he spoke often about their importance in his life. Every week he looked forward to gathering with “the boys” to play darts, corn hole or horseshoes where they have shared many laughs and memories over the years. Matt’s legacy will live on in his wife, daughters, friends, and family. He will always be remembered for his talent, his strength, his laugh and the love he shared with those in his presence.

Matt leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Christine, and daughters Amanda, Kendall, Ryleigh and Peyton. Other family members include his parents Richard and Rebecca Schwab of Wilton; brother Larry Schwab and wife Kristin of Wilton; sister Christine Wells of Wilton, as well as nieces, nephews and a large extended family.

Family and friends are invited to join together to celebrate his life on November 24th at Lawrence Barn, 28 Depot Road Hollis, NH between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00. A tribute in his memory will start around 3:00 p.m.

Cremation Society of NH is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial, leave a message of condolence, or for more information please go to www.csnh.com.
