Robert E. McLeod Jr.

AMHERST, NH – Robert E. McLeod, Jr., 92, resident of Amherst, NH for more than 50 years, died on April 26, 2019 at Crestwood Center in Milford, NH surrounded by his family.

He was born in Worcester, MA on May 28, 1926, a son of the late Robert E. McLeod Sr. and Eva M. (Day) McLeod.

Mr. McLeod served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard a floating dry-dock stationed in Guam and during the Korean War aboard the Caliente, a refueling tanker.

He had been employed as a Design Draftsman for Sevcon Company in Burlington, MA for many years.

Mr. McLeod was a member of the Joel Prouty Masonic Lodge in MA, the Benevolent Masonic Lodge in Milford, NH, Eastern Star in Milford, NH, White Shrine in Manchester, NH, Scottish Rite in Nashua, NH, the Bektash Shriners in Concord, NH.

He was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis D. McLeod.

Family members include his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth F. (Clark) McLeod of Amherst, NH; three children, Catherine L. McLeod of Amherst, NH, Bonnie V. Farrington of Marlborough, MA and Andrew D. McLeod of Manchester, NH; four grandchildren and one great grandson.

There are no services. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
