Audrey (Silverman)Rondo, 75 of Milford, NH passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a year of courageously fighting cancer. Audrey was born on October 6, 1943 in Easton, PA to parents Ida and Saul Silverman. She grew up with her mother and beloved grandparents Jacob and Tela Nathan in Montpelier, VT.

Audrey is survived by her daughter Jillian (Rondo) Poole, son in law Jacob Poole, grandchildren Abigail and Benjamin Poole all of Concord, NH. She will be deeply missed by all her knew her, including family members, friends, coworkers and students she inspired throughout her teaching career.

Audrey graduated from Keene State Collage with a degree in teaching. This was her greatest gift and passion. Audrey devoted 46 years to mentoring young minds in the Amherst, NH school system. She loved reading stories to her students and hoped to inspire their love for reading. She filled her classroom with books, crafts and other fun activities that made learning fun.

She enjoyed friendships and participated in many activities. One of the groups she belonged to was the Adventures. They had many gatherings, building long-lasting friendships while having many fun adventures together. Audrey was president of Seniors Forever Young at Temple Adath Yeshurun in Manchester, NH. They attended many plays, day trips and events together. She loved playing bingo, painting in watercolors, drawing mandalas, and trying new restaurants.

One of the greatest joys of Audrey’s life was spending time with her family. She traveled with them on many road trips during the summer months. They frequently traveled to Vermont and Pennsylvania. They explored Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and had a family trip to Hawaii.

The adventures Audrey shared with her family will live on in the stories, memories, and many laughs they shared. She was truly loved by her devoted family and will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 23rd from 12-4pm at Murphy’s Tap Room, 393 Route 101 Bedford, NH 03110. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
