George Russell Covey, 80 died on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Durham, NC. He was born on January 25, 1941 in Nashua, NH, the son of the late Lyle H. Covey and Helen E. Reed Covey. He graduated in 1959 from Hills High School. George was honorably served in the US Army. He worked at the Milford Police Department and was Police Officer of the Year in 1970. He loved to cook and owned From Hearth Bakery in Merrimack.

He was predeceased by his brothers Reid L. Covey, James A. Covey, and Casey Covey.

He is survived by his life partner Robert Prescott, brother Raymond Covey, Orange, VA as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. George was cremated at Lancaster Funeral & Cremation Service and will be buried in East Cemetery in Hollis.
