Kathryn Elizabeth Sauvageot Bachman

Kathryn Elizabeth Sauvageot Bachman, 78 years old, of Merrimack, died on July 3, 2021 with her daughter and son by her side. She had been living with pancreatic cancer since September, 2020, with hospice care since January 2021.

Kitty, as she was known, was born on December 13, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia. She graduated from West Virginia University in 1964. She was married in 1962 to John Bachman, from whom she was later divorced. She is survived by her daughter Pam McKinney and son-in-law Bill McKinney in Mont Vernon, NH, and her son James Bachman and son-in-law Colm Davis in Oakland, California, as well as her grandsons Kyle Jackson and Elan Bachman-Davis, and her great-grandchildren Ava and Deckard Jackson. She was predeceased by her son Johnny.

Kitty worked in many capacities in her life: as a police dispatcher and crossing guard, as a realtor, and as an office administrator. She was an extremely strong woman who, in her retirement, enjoyed her passions of birdwatching and planting flowers.
