Janet Lagana, 60 of Milford NH and formerly Merrimack NH passed away peacefully on Sunday June 5, 2022 after fighting a courageous four-year battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer surrounded by those who loved her. She leaves behind her wife of 25 years, Heather Barlow, her siblings, Jimmy Lagana and his wife Debbie, Karen Lagana, Frank Lagana and his wife Karen Hall, Julie Farnum and her husband Matt. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Betty and our beloved Yorkie, Jackson. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and her Pfeiffer family.

Janet counted her “second family” at Pfeiffer Vacuum among her greatest blessings. Janet worked at Pfeiffer for 34 years and loved her coworkers and customers and spoke frequently of them. As Lead/Senior In-House Sales Representative, she dedicated herself to excellent service to all. Janet was always considered the go-to person and the voice of reason not only at work but also by her family. Janet was admired for her common sense and relied upon as a rock for her friends and family. She was the kind of person that saw a problem and was at Lowes’ the next day coming up with a solution.

Janet’s favorite season was fall and she was the happiest outside on a cool, crisp day putzing around in the yard, going on scenic drives up north or around town or just tinkering in the garage with her tools or woodworking. She enjoyed many day trips and overnights to Foxwoods throughout the years.

She will be missed beyond words, she lit up a room with her huge laugh, humor and wit. She leaves a huge void; she was such a big presence anywhere she went. She truly was the funniest, kindest, sweetest, most practical person.

Per Janet’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Merrimack Home and Hospice or the Milford SHARE Food pantry.

As Janet would say, “I’m not really gone, I’m just taking a “10″ as she enjoyed her naps!
