Janet E. Fifield, 89, a resident of Nashua, NH, formerly of Milford, NH, passed away on Thursday, July 7, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH surrounded by her loving family after a short period of declining health.

Born in Nashua NH, August 13,1932 to the late Warren and Elsie (Scott) Towne. Janet was raised on her family dairy farm and educated through the Hollis, NH school system. To further her education, she went on to graduate from Nashua Business School.

Janet was a machinist with both OK Tool Co. and Permattach Diamond Tool Corp. both located in Milford, NH. In later years, she was employed as a sales associate at Sears Essentials in Nashua, NH.

Among her many interests, she volunteered her time to The Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. She also enjoyed gardening, baking and helping her neighbors with rides to appointments. Janet’s main passion for enjoyment was reading books from the local libraries. She was known to have read up to four novels a week.

Janet is predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Fifield, her younger sister, Molly Landry and her son-in-law, John S. Skribiski.

Janet is survived by a son, David and his wife Susie of Ashford, AL; a daughter, Sandra Skribiski of Hudson, NH; an older brother, Kenneth Towne of Hollis, NH; five grandchildren, Kate-lyn Gingerich and her husband Alex of Salem, NH, John A. Skribiski and his longtime girlfriend, Annie Syla of Manchester, NH, Ryan Fifield and his wife Kristen of Coal Township, PA, DJ Olowski and his longtime girlfriend Griselle Althouse of Mechanicsburg, PA, Dana McGuire and her husband Matthew of Wadsworth, OH; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, services will be private for her family and a few close friends and will be buried alongside her husband, Donald at the Riverside Cemetery, Milford, NH.
