Jeanne M. Desrosiers

Jeanne M. Desrosiers, 86, passed away at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH, on Sunday, June 5, 2022, after a brief illness. Jeanne was born in Melrose, MA, the daughter of Peter and Irma (Appel) Wilson.

She attended Appleton Academy in New Ipswich, NH and was a member of the graduating class of 1954. She was the owner of My Kids’ Place Coffee Shop in Greenville, NH, for several years and served as Treasurer for the Town of Greenville, NH from 2002 through 2004.

Jeanne married Normand Desrosiers in July 1973. They loved traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Jeanne was an avid gardener and member of the Milford Garden Club for many years, serving as the treasurer and writing the club newsletter. She also loved knitting and crocheting, and always made a welcome gift for each new addition to her family. She loved playing cribbage, reading, and watching Jeopardy. She was a terrific cook who greatly enjoyed Christmas and family gatherings. She especially loved Halloween and made it fun for everyone who came to her door.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Bryan Corthell and his wife, Martha, of Texas; her daughters, Lisa Bourgault and her husband, Simon, of Bedford, NH, and Irma Robinson and her husband, Ronald, of Manchester, NH; her daughter-in-law, Lucy Corthell of New Ipswich, NH; her stepdaughters Linda Coleman of Greenville, NH, and Elaine Huntley and her husband, Claude of Sanford, ME; her sister, Constance Boldini of Westmoreland, NH; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by Normand, her husband of 39 years, in 2012, her son Timothy Corthell, in 2011 and her stepson Normand “Zeb” Desrosiers in 1993.

Friends and family are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Milford United Methodist Church in Milford, NH on Saturday, August 6 at 11:00 AM and fellowship at the Gatherings at the Colonel Shepard House immediately following.
