Ruth Birn, 96, of Milford, N.H., died on March 28, 2023, at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center in Manchester, N.H. She was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, in 1926, to Belle (Sincoff) and Max Orzeck.

Ruth grew up in Greenpoint and attended Brooklyn College. She worked for United Jewish Appeal, Nathaniel Solomon, MD, National Assoc. of Accountants, and Kass Associates. Ruth lived in Elmhurst, Queens, for 46 years, before moving to Milford, N.H., in 2005, to be closer to her daughter and her family.

She was known for her many stories, and loved anything chocolate, knitting scarves and baby sweaters, and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

Ruth was predeceased by her sister June Klein, and her former husband Meyer Birn.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Birn Struckman and her husband Conrad; granddaughters, Kat Struckmann of Raymond, N.H., and Susanna Struckmann and her boyfriend Bridger Machus of Seattle, Wash.; nephews, Mark Klein and his partner Ozeias Amaral of NYC, and Tom Klein and his wife Kathy of Milford, Conn., and sons, Chase and Pierce; and many cousins.
