Debra J. Keenan

Debra J. Keenan, 68, a longtime resident of Mason, NH died at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on July 28, 1955 in Greenfield, MA, a daughter of the late André and Anna (Krejmas) LaPalme.

Debra was raised and educated in Turners Falls, MA, graduating from Turners Falls High School class of 1973. She later attended Franklin Pierce College for her Computer Science degree.

She married Kevin Keenan and together had two sons, Aaron and Benjamin. Debra and Kevin settled in Mason, where they have resided for the last thirty-nine years. Debra enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, gardening, crafts, camping and working at Parkers Maple Barn in the gift shop. She was a devout catholic and was an active parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Kevin Keenan of Mason, NH, her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Aaron and Lexi Keenan of Milford, NH and Benjamin Keenan of Manchester, NH, a granddaughter, Alivia Keenan of Mason and a sister, Brenda and her husband Joe Janikas of Turners Falls, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH 03055. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst, NH.
