Lucy graduated from Taconic HS in 1983 and from Hood College 1987 with a BS in Home Economies, Dietetics and finished her internship before graduating. She resided in New Hampshire after college. Lucy worked as a Registered Dietician at several hospitals. She had a close circle of good friends and the six “Hoodies” from Hood. Lucy traveled to Romania twice as a Diabetic Educator and assisted at local orphanages. She was athletically inclined, skiing at age 4, later became a long-distance runner, winning race after race, enjoyed kayaking and the outdoors. Lucy loved the color green, sheep and turtles of all kinds; especially sea turtles. She leaves her three wonderful children, Ian, Adrienne, and Jack Losee, whom she loved dearly and was very proud of them. “When I (Ian) think of Lucy I think of love. Despite the weight she carried on her shoulders, she never failed to love her children. She’s the epitome of generosity. I know she’ll be right by my side for as long as I live.” “Lucy was the most selfless person I (Adrienne) will ever know. No matter what she was going through, she’d always put her loved ones first. She would always radiate love and warmth with her big smile and open arms. No one loved as hard as her. She blessed her three children with the gifts of empathy, trust and compassion. Her big heart will continue to touch the lives of everyone who loved her.” “My (Jack) mother showed me the most support out of anybody in my life. She was the leading factor to me going to college to continue my education. My mother was not only supportive of me, she extended her love and support to anyone and everyone she loved. Lucy was the most selfless and caring person, and she will forever be missed.” Lucy was predeceased by her father and two brothers, Kurt and Mark Noepel. She leaves her significant other Rick DeAngelis and Boston Terrier Buddy. She also leaves her mother, Penny, a brother Roy Noepel, nephews Eric and Adam Noepel, Sister Kate Kirchner (Ned), niece Kimberley Kirchner DVM. In accordance with Lucy’s wishes, her body has been donated to the Anatomical Gift Program for the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University for medical education and research.
