Bette A. Lorette

Bette A. Lorette, 69, resident of Newport, NH, died on August 13, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Nashua, NH on January 12, 1956, a daughter of Robert W. Lorette, Sr. and Helen M. (Fairfield) Lorette.

She was raised and educated in Wilton, NH. She made her home in Newport, NH for the past several years having formerly lived in Merrimack and Nashua for many years and Wilton for the majority of her life. Bette had been a LPN for many years, working as a substitute school nurse, a geriatric in-home nurse, as well as working at a nursing home. She later worked as an assembly tech for L3 Technology. Bette loved collecting antiques and could never pass by a yard sale without stopping. She also had a deep love of reading and collecting books, enjoyed spending time with crossword puzzles, and cherished visiting the covered bridges of New Hampshire. Above all, she found her greatest joy and peace at the beach.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Robert Lorette, Jr. and her sister, Helen (Tardif) Gorham. Family members include her children, Ryan Carrigan, Beth Miller, Adrianne (Brodeur) McNally, Sara Lorette, and Katy (Brodeur) Guidi, her sisters, Gayle and her husband Edward Freitag, Becky Lorette and her spouse Linder Rohrbach, and Marilyn Vander-Heyden, along with her many nieces and nephews, Tracey McCarthy, Jason Tardif, Stephen Boutwell, Shaun Boutwell, Amie Hoffman, Tasha Austin, Amber Egan, Raven Vaillancourt, Farrah Vander-Heyden, and Tiana Way, as well as extended family.

A private spreading of ashes will be held in memory of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care through their website.
