Lawrence S. (Larry) Cassidy, a longtime resident of Lyndeborough, died peacefully on September 16, 2025 in Milford NH after his journey through dementia.

Born in his family home in Milford, NH on August 14, 1940 he was the son of Thomas S. Cassidy and Irene B. (McQueen Lemner) Quinn Cassidy. He loved his time on Lincoln Street growing up with his five brothers William E. Quinn, Thomas S. Quinn, James D. Cassidy, Thomas S. Cassidy Jr. (all deceased) and Timothy M. Cassidy now of Texas. In June 1961 he met his love and wife of 63 years Brenda L. (Hill) Cassidy. They were married February 17, 1962 at St. Patrick’s Church in Milford, NH and made their home in Lyndeborough, NH. In 1971 working together they cleared the land, built the current family home on Winn Rd and raised their family.

He continued in the medical field briefly as an OR Technician, then started his career in the building and lumber business until he retired in 2000.

He was Dad and Grampa to a large loving extended human and pet family, as well as a good friend to so many.

Throughout his life he inspired us with a deep connection to nature through gardening, homesteading, and his favorite chore, cutting and stacking cord wood. Hikes up Rose and Winn Mtns. to pick blueberries and cruising the back roads. He also inspired us to travel, he made annual fishing trips with his son and brother to the Allagash in Maine and Lake Ontario in NY. In

1997 and 1998 traveled with his family abroad to Europe inspiring a global view. He also traveled across the U.S. to the Pacific coast and made many other family trips over the years, always happy to be home again to Winn Rd. and his beloved pond. He led by example with hard work, a sense of humor and dedication to family, friends, and community.

The family would like to thank the staff and clergy at Crestwood Center in Milford and LilyCare in Bedford for their kindness and care of Larry throughout.

And a very special thank you to our daughter and sister Lisa for her tireless efforts to navigate us all through his illness and to make him comfortable and cared for with dignity and love to the end. We are eternally grateful.
