Our beloved mother Lucy Niles Silva passed peacefully on November 24, 2025 at the age of 90.

A long-time resident of New Castle NH, Lucy retired to Northwood NH in 2000. She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, J. Donald Silva.

Lucy was born on June 30, 1935 in Nashua NH. She graduated from St Mary’s-In-The-Mountains and went on to earn a BS from UNH. Lucy was active in her church and community. She loved to travel, sing and explore the rail trails. She was especially fond of winters on the warm island of Madeira.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Maria and Ken Dzierzek, Joe Silva, Paul and Donna Silva, Amanda and Jeffrey Thacher and her sister-in-law Cheryl Niles. Lucy was also grandmother to eight grandchildren: TJ, Tori, Kathryn, Amy, David, Jack, Josh, and Aatos, as well as, nine great-grandchildren: Breenah, Clarah, John, Rowan, Jacob, Zachary, Riley, Freddie and Oscar.
