Norma Janice Hayden Bizel, 96, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at her home. She was born July 4, 1929 in Boston, MA to the late Horace and Helen Ahern Hayden. Norma enjoyed word games, travel, watercolor painting and card making. She always shared her appreciation for reading and the use of good grammar. Family and hosting family and friend gatherings brought her joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Bizel in 1992; son-in-law, Paul Brown; daughter-in-law, Wendy Waegell; sister, Dolores Hayden Stimson; and a brother, Donald Hayden.

She is survived by a son, Steven Bizel; three daughters, Pamela Brown, Beverly Bizel, and Sharon (Michael) Kossler; six grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, one great-great-grandson; sister, Marilyn (Steve) Russell; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A Mass and burial will be held in the Spring in Milford, NH at a later date.
