Cynthia C. Kilian, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 She was born in Passaic, NJ, daughter of the late James Stewart Fitzgerald Carter and Esther (Reed) Carter. Cynthia worked as a Dental Hygienist in the Derry & Auburn School District for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years Walter Kilian who passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her 2 sons David Kilian and his wife Kay of Epping, NH and Jonathan Kilian and his wife Eileen of Merrimac, MA; her daughter, Elizabeth Webb and her husband Alexander of Peterborough, NH; 6 grandchildren, Donald, James, Tyler, Jonathan, McKenna and Colleen. Cynthia had a special love of the ocean and of her Morgan horses (one of which became a world champion). She was a founding member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Amherst, NH.

A funeral mass was held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Amherst. Burial was in the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the St. Luke’s Anglican Church, P.O. Box 131, Amherst, NH 03031 or to the Bedford Rotary P.O. Box 10086, Bedford, NH 03110. The Waters Funeral Home has the honor of assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
