Gary T. Stitham, a longtime resident of Andover, Massachusetts peacefully passed away October 19, 2026, at the age of 76. Gary was born in Nashua, New Hampshire to the late Wallace L. Stitham and Beverly M. (Caswell) Stitham and graduated from Milford High School where he was a multi-sport athlete. Upon graduation, Gary attended the University of New Hampshire. It was at UNH where Gary met Karen “Kay” (MacCormack) Stitham, his wife of 53 years.

Gary had a long career in the Insurance industry working as a broker for Fortune 1000 companies. In his spare time, Gary could be found on the golf course and had belonged to Indian Ridge Country Club. Gary and Karen had fond memories of their travels throughout the US and Europe experiencing golf with close friends. Off the course, Gary would usually be found in a warm corner of the house with a book or in the kitchen preparing his signature soups and chowders.

In addition to his beloved wife Karen, Gary is survived by his loving sons Matthew J. Stitham and his husband J. Dominic Campodonico of San Francisco, California, Timothy M. Stitham, his wife Kaitlin and their daughters Riley, Mia, and Vivian of North Andover, Massachusetts, sister Terry Snook of Dover, New Hampshire, and brother James Stitham of Keene, NH.

Funeral services will be privately held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s memory can be made to the Memorial Hall Library, 2 North Main Street, Andover, MA 01810.
