Constance E. (Nichols) Griffiths

Constance E. (Nichols) Griffiths, age 84, of Hollis, died Jan. 2, 2012, at St. Josephs Hospital in Nashua after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. Her family was by her side.

Born in South Weymouth, Mass., she was the daughter of Rachel and Edwin Nichols. Connie was originally from Abington, Mass., and was a 1944 graduate of Abington High School.

She resided in Pepperell, Mass., for 21 years before moving to Hollis with her family in 1997.

She was a member of the Community Church of Pepperell since 1976, and was also a member of the Pepperell Womens Club.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, painting and many other crafts.

Connie had a great love of the ocean, especially Nantasket Beach, where she spent many of her childhood summers.

Connie will always be remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and sister, and a good friend to many.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 40 years, William J. Griffiths; a daughter, Pamela L. Hanna, and son-in-law, Michael Hanna of Honea Path, S.C.; two sons, Robert A. Phillips of Westminster, Mass., and Scott W. Phillips, and daughter-in-law, Tracey L. Phillips of Hollis; three grandchildren, Timothy, Jennifer and Caden; and one great-grandchild, Charles. Constance also leaves behind a sister, Janice Reagan, and brother-in-law, William Reagan of Norwell, Mass.; three nephews, David, Thomas and Mark Reagan; and one niece, Beth Reagan.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Community Church of Pepperell, 3 Townsend St., Pepperell, MA 01463. A memorial service will be held at the Community Church of Pepperell at a later date.
